Last month, I shared with you about unexpected things
because dealing with surprises is part of being a hero. In fact, a surprise is
sometimes the beginning of conflict, and without conflict, a hero has nothing
to overcome. A hero learns how to overcome his obstacles by accessing and using
new information.
All heroes need new information. Elizabeth Bennett and Mr.
Darcy needed new info. Frodo needed new info. And the four siblings wandering
through Narnia needed new info. Heroes must learn something valuable if they
are to continue being a hero.
This month, the heroes on this blog are going to school.
They have to listen to new teachers and make new friends in order to have
access to the right information. New information comes with a high price
sometimes. A hero may have to learn humility or patience before they earn the
right to the information they need.
