Clark Gable plays Mike
Hamilton, an American lawyer who has to settle his brother’s estate in Naples.
His brother has an eight-year-old son Mike didn’t know about who became an
orphan when his parents drowned in a boating accident. The boy is being raised
by his mother’s sister, a night club singer, played by Sophia Loren.
Sophia Loren and Clark Gable,
both very talented actors, had to shine above the beauty of the Italian setting.
The 33 year age difference between them didn’t keep the audience from believing
in the romance which blossoms as the story moves forward.
